5 Key Client “Ah Ha’s” that are Great Tips for All!

My clients teach me so much. And I want to pay it forward to all of you. So this week, I'm sharing some of my favorite client tips.

  • Tip #1: In a recent session, a client who truly values adventure was able to reframe the way they thought about all those crazy, seemingly overwhelming challenges that keep popping up in all aspects of life as mini adventures. This transformed feelings of worry, fear, self doubt into confidence, curiosity and optimism. How would that reframe enable you to unleash your authentic badass self to give your best to any situation, harness your amazingly unique skills and own the moment?

  • Tip #2: This tip comes from not just one client, but nearly every human I know who spends so much time comparing themselves to others. And frankly, it's exhausing…. We are our own unique person. No one can do us better than we can so just take a breath, relax, get present and breathe. Then, appreciate you're on your own individual journey, your own timeline. You can grow at your own pace - the pace that's right for you. And when it's time for things to happen, they will.

  • Tip #3: This is big one and frankly, it's table stakes to living a live of pure peace and joy. When you can dig deep, explore what’s within, you can begin to appreaciate that because of all your unique life experiences, coupled with your current beliefs and values, you couldn't be anyone but who you are. And personal growth begins with personal acceptance. Once you can accept who you are, it's the start of a beautiful journey to work on what you'd like to improve, let thoughts that are no longer serving you fade away and watch a beautiful life fall into place.

  • Tip #4: It's human nature to want to have a key group of close relationships. For some, their group may be large. For others, it may be smaller - even one other person. The important thing to appreciate is that we all want people in our boat - to travel with us through this amazing journey of life; to navigate the stormy waters and lull joyfully in the calm seas. Take stock of who's in your boat and who you'd like to be in your boat. You're the captain - you get to decide!

  • Tip #5: We are humans BEING, yet we default to what we do best - DOING. We focus on the tasks at hand and don't always come up for air to appreciate the possibilities and bigger picture around us. My coaching approach is all about helping my clients create the life they want to experience - the BEING. And this is how my client summed up their go-forward approach: taking a moment to appreciate their feet on the ground - taking meaningful steps to do the things they set out to do, while taking equal opportunity to look to the sky to breath and open themselves up to receive all that this amazing universe has to offer. This visualization will stick with me and I hope it also inspires you.
